Mike Hess said that when he and his wife moved to Ohio from Trinidad and Tobago two years ago, they first rented an apartment in Delaware. But they didn’t know whether they wanted to stay there.
“We looked at Powell, in Delaware, closer to Columbus. We just couldn’t find something that felt like home,” said Hess, 52, the plant manager at Nucor’s steel-bar mill in Marion.
“We decided to look at Marion. We love the area. We met a lot of great people (attending church and elsewhere). People at the plant here were amazing,” he said.
